Meeting Rooms

Stage your next function in one of the seven meeting rooms in Franklin: The Centre.

All rooms offer modern styling, natural daylight, blinds, tables, and chairs, plus free access to corridor kitchenettes--ideal for preparing hot and cold drinks and light refreshments. A range of audio-visual and conference equipment is available for optional hire.

Growers Room & Kitchen

Ed Hillary Room

Featuring the original Art Deco furniture of Franklin District Council. Ground floor. Seating capacity: 13, room size: 38m²

Allan Wilson Room

Ideal for small meetings, interviews, training, etc. Ground floor. Seating capacity: 34, room size: 38m²

Stevenson Room

Our largest room at 180m², or hire it with the Franklin Room and open the partition wall for 280m². Ideal for meetings, functions, rehearsals, cultural events, corporate training and business presentations. Ceiling-mounted data projector and screen. Seating capacity: 229.

Franklin Room

Our second largest room, for hire individually or with Stevenson Room. Seating capacity: 126, room size: 100m²

Douglas Wright Room

Use for meetings, classes, etc., alone or in combination with Comrie and Growers Rooms. Seating capacity: 44, room size: 49m²

Leslie Comrie Room

Another good sized room for a variety of uses, for hire individually or with adjacent Wright and Growers rooms. Seating capacity: 45, room size: 50m²

Growers' Room & Kitchen

This meeting room doubles as a full-service kitchen for catering events in other rooms, or for cooking classes or demonstrations. Equipment includes long bench, mobile bench top, basin, microwave oven, electric stove and oven, dishwasher, and fridge. Can be hired with adjacent Comrie and Wright rooms. Seating capacity: 50, room size: 55m²
