FACT is the Creative and Cultural Heart of Franklin.

We promote participation by people of all ages by organising classes, exhibitions and events, offering venue hire, selling work by local artists, providing information resources, and working with other organisations to make art and culture central to the character of Franklin.

FACT is based at Franklin: The Centre in Pukekohe and sponsors activity elsewhere in the District, through its own programmes and those organised by local groups and individuals.

Financial support is provided to individuals and groups through Creative Communities funding, which FACT distributes in Franklin on behalf of Creative New Zealand. FACT also awards an annual scholarship for talented Franklin youth who are pursuing tertiary education.

 

FACT receives an annual revenue grant from Franklin District Council and corporate funding from Creative New Zealand and local businesses. Further income is derived from venue hire, shop sales, and membership.
